We looked at how you can change the date properties of a field to be an April start date.

We then looked at overcoming common challenges when connecting to Excel data sources, including
➡️ empty rows and columns
➡️ the need to remove totals and sub-totals
➡️ pivoting multiple columns of months into a single date field of measures
➡️ Excel sheets that have multiple tables of data, or tables of data being hard to locate for Tableau

We also looked at how Tableau calculated fields operate
➡️ creating a simple ratio,
➡️ row and aggregate level calculations
➡️ how to emulate the “SUMIF()” calculation in Tableau
➡️ overcoming the common “Cannot mix aggregate with non-aggregate” error message.
