We looked at the “Split Field” feature, how the “DateParse” function may be of use if the date formats are not recognised and then we looked at the 3 Level of Detail (LOD) expressions of FIXED, INCLUDE & EXCLUDE, together with some simple use cases for comparison purposes.

We also discussed some tips for when an LOD might be required and the Tableau “Order of Operations”, which is a useful way to understand when filters are applied and how LOD fits in with that order.
