VizDJ is the trading name of Steve Adams Services Ltd (registered in England and
Wales, company number 15244819). This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect from you, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect, and why
When you sign up for our newsletter (Tableau Bites), register for a free event or webinar, or download a resource: your name and email address. We use them to send you the thing you asked for — the newsletter, your event joining link and reminders,
the replay, or the download — and, where we have told you so at sign-up, related emails from us about our training and community.
When you register for one of our events through LinkedIn: LinkedIn shares your name and email address with us as the event organiser. We use them only to send you that event's joining details, reminders, and follow-up. We do not add you to our newsletter unless you choose to join it.
When you buy training or membership from us: your name, email, and billing details, handled by our payment providers. We never see or store your card number.
What we never do
We never sell your information. We never share it with anyone else for their marketing.
Who processes it for us
Like most small businesses, we use trusted tools to run things: Kit (our email platform), Zoom (live sessions), Thinkific (our training platform), ThriveCart and Stripe (payments), Microsoft 365 (email and files), and LinkedIn (events and our newsletter there). Each processes your data only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
For as long as you are subscribed or a customer, and then only as long as we need to for legal and accounting reasons. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email info@vizdj.com and we will sort it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
