We did a quick review of how dates are dealt with in Tableau filters and included the “Relative Date” option. This is an alternative approach to using parameters for start and end date, an approach commonly used in Qlik.
We looked at a bug that Tim discovered with tooltips. We also looked at working with NULL’s, using ISNULL() and IFNULL(), and looked at a an issue with blending in a “Group” dimension.
We then reviewed Beatriz’s final dashboard.
Lastly we looked at a way to flexibly drill through a hierarchy in a dashboard using parameter actions.
